Each of these pieces is 10”x7 1/2'”. The etched portion is pressed into the paper, creating a self-matted effect. The etching itself is about 5”x3 ½”. Created exclusively with hands-on techniques with their origins in the early sixteenth century, these etchings are hand tinted with water color. After the complete series of an etching is finished, the artist destroys the plate, thereby ensuring the integrity of the edition. Each etching comes with a signed certificate of authenticity that explains the methods used to make the piece.
We currently have four different etchings. First, there is the flamboyant flamingo. It reads “Some Birds are Never Satisfied.”
Second, we have the “Wren and Tonic,” a cute little wren perched on the edge gin and tonic.
Next, there is the “Two Can Can-Can.” Yep, it has two toucans doing the can-can on beer cans! Finally, there is the “Brew Jay,” a brilliant blue jay perched on a beer glass.
If you like these etchings, get them before they’re gone because once we're out of stock, Lucius may have retired the piece and we won't be able to restock.
