Penelope Penzo has just released this new Thai Soup bowl. No matter what you fill the bowl with, you can see the animals running around the rim. Use it for cereal in the morning, or fill it with nuts or candy. Very versatile. It measures 6" across from the edge of the rim and 3" high.
The particular piece shown is the exact piece you will receive.
In the first bowl, we have a very pretty deep teal sky. A pair of hippos are looking like they have something in mind and a baby elephant stands beside them. An enormous orange elephant is walking just out of sight on the opposite side of the bowl, as is a cheetah family of three. A bird sits in a dead branch watching over the scene. The inside is a pretty deep teal color - the same as the sky. And the rim around the edge is a nice wash of teal fading into lighter teal and a pale orange which matches the color of the elephant.
The second bowl shows a staring cheetah on a tree limb, his green eyes boring into the viewer. I wouldn't want to cross this cat. Two pretty zebra walk in the background and a big brown rhino stands near the cheetah's tree. Another pair of zebra graze quietly, one watching the viewer, and an oryx walks behind them. A pretty teal green sky is overhead. The inside of the bowl is painted the same teal green color and the rim is painted a deep rose color with an elaborate feathers and decorated circles design on the rim.
The third bowl is a nice, bright light tangerine color. The sky is the same color as the inside of the bowl. This is a family scene. A pair of giraffes are grazing in one scene, a cheetah mom and cub are sitting next to the giraffes in the deep grass. To the right is a warthog mom and baby walking. And on the opposite side of the bowl is a pair of birds on a tree branch. Leafy foliate in reds and greens show up nicely against the tangerine sky.
Since each piece is one of a kind and signed by the artist, each one is truly unique. Microwave and dishwasher friendly.
