This amazingly beautiful handpainted Penzo platter is a vibrant and colorful addition to any table...or anywhere that you decide to put it! This platter measures 14" square. All pieces are handpainted in Zimbabwe and are signed by the artists. They are microwave and dishwasher friendly.
The first platter is very technicolor - there is a lion clawing a green tree. Up above is a little monkey in the branches, almost invisible. Is he after the monkey? There are prety kudu on the right with some tall giraffe peeking through the tree branches, almost invisible. A blue warthog stands behind the lion, a trio of technicolor oryx are in the middle of the scene. A hawk is about to land behind his partner who is already on the ground. A milk blue Victoria Falls is in the background. The green foliage and trees contrast nicely with the bright yellow sky. The rim is a pretty blue with a very detailed feather design. This is a stunning platter for its pretty, pretty colors!
The second platter is very detailed. A blue elephant stands in the center about to trumpet as he strides to the watering hole. A little green warthog lies at the side of the watering hole, taking it easy. A lion sits in the dense foliage, he is almost invisible, but not quite. A cheetah stands in the tree above the water - he is watching who is coming and going. A monkey mom and babe sit in an opposite tree branch and a pair of zebra walk together in the background. A nicely drawn bird sits on the bottom right hand corner. The rim is a pretty combination of light teal and seafoam blue. A quill design outlines the rim. Very nicely drawn!
The third platter is a vibrant mix of yellows and deep oranges. A cheetah sits front and center, his eyes glowing as he stares from his tree branch. Three birds are to the left, sharing his space, another is at flight. to the right. Woodpeckers are hard at work in a tree on the right. Behind the cheetah sits a papa lion, his nose in the air sniffing for dinner. Or is he just proud of his harem. Behind him sit his mate and another female licking one another and to the right sit four cubs just watching. Dad is busy. In the watering hole in the background, ducks swim, a monkey carefully creeps over, kudu, zebra and oryx stand in line for their turn to drink. The sky is a deep cobalt blue - it peeks out from between the foliage. The rim is a very detailed mix of green tusks combined with a brownish/orange and yellow wash.
