These beautiful round charger plates from Penelope Penzo feature an ornate hand-painted zebra print border. The design fully circles an inner painting and creates an almost frame-like design. As with all Penzo, each plate is one-of-a-kind and is unique to the artist who painted it.
Our first charger features a wide scene of Victoria Falls. A big green giraffe cranes his neck from the center of the scene. Behind him is an elephant walking away, and two oryx. A sable is looking behind him, a bored cheetah watches and a curious red monkey sits at the bottom center. The sky is a pretty deep turquoise green. Two birds sit in a tree branch on the left. There is a lot of foliage here in the area around Vic Falls - quite pretty.
The second plate is so cute - there are a pair of lion cubs playing on the right, one is biting the other on the side and the first one is growling in annoyance. Very cute. A group of multicolored kudu stand in the front of the scene with a beautiful bird right in the front. A cobweb laces through the foliage on the right. The viewer can see the run-off from Victoria Falls in the back, its banks verdant with foliage and rock pilings. The sky is a pretty deep teal green.
The third plate has a bevy of animals pictured in front of Victoria Falls. A beautiful cheetah is drawn front center in the scene. To his right is a green oryx grazing. Behind him are an elephant, a pair of zebra and a giraffe. A bird sits on a dead branch right in front of the cheetah. The green foliage and the green and red trees contrast nicely with the bright yellow sky.
